SAT EXAM FORMAT

SAT consists of two major section –
Evidence based Reading and Writing and Math.
These sections further
get divided into 2 sections.

So let's disclose the exam format to you.

Number of sections	4 (2 EBRW; 2 Math)
Duration of exam	180 minutes (without essay) + 50 (with essay)
Number of questions	154
Score Range	400-1600
Language of paper	English
Mode of examination	Pencil-paper
Negative marking	None

So now you had received the basics about the SAT exam. Coming to SAT format -

Section 1- Reading - 65 min- 52 ques

Section 2- Writing- 35 min- 44 ques
Section 3- Maths without calculator- 25 min- 20 ques
Section 4- Maths with calculator- 55 min- 38 ques

Section 5- an optional essay- 50 min

EXPERTS ADVICE

1) Section 1 is going to be lengthy.
2) Section 2 will require strong knowledge of grammar.

3) Section 3 will be full of traps.
4) Section 4 will be lengthy as well as tough.

MARKING SCHEME

You will score between 200-800 in EBRW and 200-800 in math too.
In essay the scoring will be in 8/8/8 form which will be explained in the post on essay.
